Public Transit

Public transport, taking the Metro is definitely the easiest and most convenient option for getting to and from the conference for those staying more centrally located. The conference is located right in front of the Ostiense stop on the Metro B line. If you are staying in the Via Nazionale area, it’s a very quick, direct ride straight to the conference.

The public transit system is very safe and reliable. As with any major European city, attendees should just be mindful of pickpockets on crowded trains, but overall it’s a great way to get around.

Tickets cost are approximately €1.50 per ride, and the easiest way to pay is simply by tapping a contactless credit card or smartphone directly at the turnstiles—no need to buy paper tickets!

Travel Ideas Before or After Netdev 0x1A

Stefano Salsano has posted a great guide for activities before or after the conference in beautiful Italy

Rome is one of the busiest travel destinations during the summer season, and tickets for many of the city’s most iconic attractions sell out very quickly! I highly recommend booking any sightseeing activities or tours now to avoid disappointment.
