Tutorial
The Free Range Routing(FRR) provides protocol daemons for BGP, IS-IS, LDP, OSPF, PIM, and RIP. It is used by many large ISPs, SaaS infrastructure data centres, and Fortune 500 private clouds. More details at: https://frrouting.org/ This instructor-led tutorial will cover basic introduction to the FRRouting Suite and lead towards advanced features on how FRR fits into the classic Data Center. The tutorial first half will be introduction to the different components in FRR and how to get a basic setup running. We will then venture into basic setup of OSPF/BGP/ISIS for a simple network. In the second half we will discuss why and how OSPF and BGP fit into the classic Data Center Architecture. How RFC-5549 and Unnumbered interfaces changed addressing and reachability in your network and how this problem was solved in the Linux Kernel. Finally we will cover how EVPN solved L2 connectivity over L3 networks. Users will be presented with working examples and general knowledge of how to approach using FRR for their routing needs.
